CCR Post-Production

 Hello Cambridge!!!!

I am now editing my CCR.

This has been an interesting process since I am not a pro editor. For our film opening we used Adobe premiere on my partner's laptop. Since I am now editing on my own and I don't have Adobe Premiere I am editing on Clip Champ.

It is pretty easy to use and I am very happy on how they are turning out.

I am excited for you to see the final products!!!

Porfolio Project Final Reflection

We are finally done!!

It was a long but worth it journey.
This project taught me a lot about myself and gave me a bigger insight into the production world.

At times this project was hard and tiring. I was stressed at times specially when it came to blogs. Although I felt like i could not do the blogs at times because it was a lot, at the same time they truly helped the production of the project. Without blogger I do not think I would have been able to finish this project.

Without blogger more time I think I could have perfected it more and I would have enjoyed it more, but overall I am happy and satisfied with the final outcome of this journey.

Can’t believe it is over..

Bye Cambridge!!!

CCR Production Idea

Producing the CCR!

As I explained before I will be producing two different CCR. The first one will be of question #1 and question #2. The second one will be of question #3 and question #4.

For the first CCR I am going to be doing a a Livestream video doing a “frequently asked questions”  Live.

When it starts I will be saying” Welcome Back to another Livestream!!, today I will be responding to 2 of my most frequently asked questions about my new film opening Washed Away” then i will proceed to state the first question answer it, and then same for the second question.

For the second CCR i will be doing a video of my thought process after watching the film opening for the first time. I will make it in a way by incorporating the questions as questions I am asking myself in my head while watching it.

CCR Question #4 Research

We are now in the last question for the CCR!

For my CCR i will be doing on video for question #1 and question #2 and another video for question #3 and question #4.

Today I will be explaining question #4

How did you integrate technology - software, hardware and online- in this project?

For this question I have to

  • Discuss technologies used during project
This includes hardware, cameras, lighting, microphones, phones, tripods, dollies
  • Discuss softwares, planning tools, editing tools and animation
  • Discuss HOW you used these technologies
This is what i would say to answer this question:

I used a Sony A7III camera on a tripod to get high-quality, steady shots, while also using a digital camera for the beach scenes to create a nostalgic look. I edited everything in Adobe Premiere Pro, where I layered the "faded" visual effects and organized the story. For the soundtrack, I used Epidemic Sound to find the perfect instrumental music for the beginning and ending scenes to set the emotional mood. Finally, I designed the titles and credits in Canva, making sure they fit perfectly into the shots using the Rule of Thirds.

CCR Question #3 Research

We are back talking about the CCR.

As I mentioned before, the CCR or Critical Creative Reflection is the final part of our portfolio project. I have already talked about the 2 questions I will do for my first CCR but today I will be talking about question #3.

3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

To answer this question I must:

  • Reflect on how your process evolved throughout the production
  • Discuss your research and planning
  • Approach to production
  • End with a reflection on where you stared and ended

This is what I would say to answer this question:

Throughout this project, my production skills grew as I learned how to use sound and visuals to tell a deeper story. At first, I just wanted to show a beach, but I learned to use the original sound of teh waves and talking at beach as background instead of covering it with music. This is to make the audience use their imagination before the first shot. I also improved my camera work by using a digital camera to create a nostalgic feel and applying the Rule of Thirds to leave professional space for my credits. Finally, I learned how to use post-production effects, like making the younger sister look "faded" or "holy," to clearly show the audience that this is a supernatural mystery.

CCR Question #2 Research

Last week I introduced to you what was the CCR and explained what I was going to do for question #1.

Today I will be talking about question #2.

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

For this question it is important to:

  • Explain the target audience
This includes their age range, gender, and common interest
  • How production works to engage with target audience
  • How you plan to make your film available to audiences
Always remember that this is a starting filmmaker so I should probably make it available through easily accessible platforms for beginners such as youtube or even publish in a film festival.
  • Address realistic options for a me tour film maker
As stated before I need to find realistic options

This is what i would say to answer this question:

This film targets young adults around ages 16–25 most likely women who love emotional mystery films . I engage them by using ocean sounds and a "home movie" digital camera look to make the sisters' bond feel real and personal. The mystery of the "faded" sister and the creepy ending keeps viewers curious so they don't want to look away. As a beginning filmmaker, I plan to distribute my work on YouTube and Vimeo because they are free and easy to use, while also having the option of maybe submitting to small film festivals to get my name out there and my film career started .
